Moderate-strong neuronal somato-dendritic immunostaining (cytoplasm + nucleus) is noticed throughout the entire brain. This pattern is especially strong in the neocortex, anterior hypothalamus, hypothalamic paraventricular-, peri-ventricular- and arcuate nuclei, in the globus pallidus as well as in multiple distinct brainstem nuclei (e.g. locus coeruleus or motor trigeminal nucleus).
Also, weak/moderate-intensity immunostaining of a subset of glial cells (microglia?) is noticed in the white matter but further experiments are needed for its more detailed characterization.
Based on RNA data (RNAseq/ISH) data, lower protein expression may be expected.
Positive cells and structuresi
Manually selected location of the protein positivity, observed by immunofluorescence staining in mouse brain.
Glia. Soma, nucleus and dendrite in neurons. Choroid plexus, ventricle wall and circumventricular organs of ependymal cells.
