Cytoplasmic immunoreactivity in subsets of neurons as well as in many dendritic and axonal processes is noticed. Most abundant staining is found in areas of the forebrain (olfactory and cortical areas predominantly) and some parts of hindbrain. Some myelin-like structures in white matter areas (like corpus callosum) are also immunoreactive.
